Adult Eduction/Literacy and Learning Center

Welcome to the Churchill County Adult Diploma Program!

Please read the following to find out if our program can
help you meet your goals.

  • A student can work toward earning an Adult High School Diploma, a High School Equivalency (HSE), and take English Language Learner (EL) classes.
  • A student can choose to study for one of the HSE Tests with our program. A student who earns an HSE can waive credits toward earning a high school diploma.
  • We test for GED and HiSET.
  • We offer live EL classes and both our independent and online learning programs will allow students to work from home.
  • There is no cost for our program (with an exception for HSE testing) or for taking the End of Course Exams.
  • We follow the Churchill County School District calendar.
  • We are open from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm M-Th and 8:00 am-3:30 pm Friday.

 

 

  • Earning an Adult High School Diploma (AHSD)

  • Studying/testing for GED/HiSET

  • Taking live English Language Learner (EL) classes

  • Receiving tutoring support

High School Equivalency (HSE):

  • GED/HiSET

We offer GED/HiSET testing at our location. A student that passes an HiSET/GED exam can possibly waive credits toward earning an Adult High School Diploma. There is a cost to take the exam.

We offer live classes and both our independent and online learning programs allow students to work from home.

There is no cost for participation in our program!

  • 4 English Credits

  • 3 Math Credits

  • 2 Science Credits

  • 1 U.S. History Credit

  • 1 U.S. Government Credit

  • 1 Humanities Credit

  • ½ Health Credit

  • ½ Computer & Ed Tech (CET) Credit

  • 7 ½ Elective Credits

    20½ Total Credits Needed
